What is Tai Chi?

image2

Tai chi is a slow moving, gentle form of exercise originating in ancient China. Tai Chi consists of flowing, gentle movements that are relaxed and slow in tempo. Breathing is deepened and slowed. It is an enjoyable form of mind/body exercise  with many proven health benefits.

Tai Chi requires a level of commitment for best results.  Each week’s class builds on the previous classes and practicing between classes

ensures steady progress.

What is Qigong?

image3

Qigong is an ancient Chinese exercise for self-healing. The practice of Qigong is a way of working with the Qi, or energy of life, to stimulate and strengthen this powerful energy. Through the coordinated practice of movement, breath and meditation, Qigong can help relieve stress, and increase health and vitality as well as developing spiritual perception,

serenity and awareness.

The benefits of Qigong

can often be felt immediately.

The Qigong for Stress Release & Relaxation classes explore a range of different Qigong styles

which are gentle and easy to follow.

What Jay's students say ...

image4

Tai Chi has taught me:

  • "to relax and slow the mind"
  • "breathing, balance, state of mind during movements"
  • "a relaxed attitude is important"

The best thing about Qigong is:

  • "focus, self control and complete relaxation"
  • "feeling relaxed after every class"
  • "the feeling of getting in touch with myself"
